First Station: Jesus is condemned to death

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember how You were condemned,
when others are condemned unjustly.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Second Station: Jesus is abused and made to carry the cross
[From Matthew 27:27-31, Mark 15:16-20, John 19:17]

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember the abuse of Your body,
when others are abused and tortured.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Third Station: Jesus falls the first time

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember Your struggles with the cross,
when others struggle with poverty and starvation.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Fourth Station: Jesus meets His Mother Mary

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember the love given to You by Your Mother Mary,
when I have compassion for all of God's children.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Fifth Station: Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry the cross

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember the aid given to You by Simon,
when I aid those who are in need.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Sixth Station: Veronica wipes the face of Jesus

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember the comfort given to You by Veronica,
when I comfort those who are in need.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Seventh Station: Jesus falls the second time

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember Your struggles with the cross,
when others struggle with disease and disability.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity

Eighth Station: Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember the grieving by the women of Jerusalem,
when I grieve for those who suffer in the World.

Ninth Station: Jesus falls a third time

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember Your struggles with the cross,
when others struggle with loneliness and alienation.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.

Tenth Station: Jesus is stripped of His clothes
[From Matthew 27:35, Mark 15:24b, Luke 23:34]

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember how You were stripped of Your clothes,
when the poor are exploited and abused.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity

Eleventh Station: Jesus is nailed to the cross

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember how You were nailed to the cross,
when the powerless are exploited and abused.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity

Twelfth Station: Jesus dies on the cross

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember how You died on the cross,
when the poor die before their time.

Thirteenth Station: Jesus' body is taken down from the cross

May I remember how Your body was taken lifeless from the cross,
when the powerless die before their time.
Help me to help them as I would have helped You.

Fourteenth Station: Jesus' body is laid in the tomb
[From Matthew 17:57-58, John 19:39-42]

Merciful Redeemer, hear my prayer.
May I remember how Your body was laid in the tomb,
when the good die before their time,
sacrificing themselves for others.
Help me to sacrifice for humanity
as You have sacrificed for humanity.
